Funny about the clothes - in some cases the clothes of the youth look better on the aged. I can't decide if that is about the person or the clothes. I read once that respect is a combination of love and fear. I think we all want to be respected as individuals - to be valued if possible but if not at least to not be abused. I don't know a lot about eastern culture but even in Oklahoma my Grandmother demanded respect: pay attention, no back-talk, obedience. However, her attitude did relax once I was an adult. Perhaps that's the difference.
I thought the clothes swapping was really good and found it pleasantly surprising how nice both sides looked in one another's clothing.
