I love their simple yet elegant outfit! The do look like they're wearing uniform though (reminds me of me and my friends in high school) :)
I agree Yuko. The clothes are plain and rather uniform, but they are really wonderful for great accessories if you want to personalise them a bit. I like EF clothing, but think it is overpriced and it is very easy to mimic the look using much less expensive items.
I haven't heard of them before but they now have a shipping deal to Canada! It looks like their stuff mixes and matches easily.
Ditto. I love EF. My daughter and I have found some at thrifts, but this year I've "splurged" by buying a few pieces online. I wait till the items are @50-60% off--even that is pretty expensive for me.
ExactingLife - Apparently EF keeps the same blacks, blues, greys year after year so that all the separates remain matching season to season. I don't own any of her items so I can't attest to that, but the clothes are so simple they do seem to mix and match easily.FrugalS - It's amazing to me what can be found at thrift stores. They are a testament to the amount of discretionary income that can be found in society. We produce so much USEFUL excess. Since I'm basically a bottom feeder I'm more than happy to take ownership the 2nd time around, you know, one man's junk is another man's treasure... :)
Ha! Bottom feeder - that's me! My impression from reading about EF is that people either love or hate it. I think as a petite person I prefer garments a bit more tailored (less flowing) so they don't swamp me. Love the concept of 'uniforms' though - they make life so much simpler. Mine seems to involve jeans/cords, cardigans and walking shoes of some sort; also outfits of mostly one colour. Or longer skirts with boots and cardigans.I've yet to encounter EF in any charity shop here, don't thinks it's big here in the outskirts.
Shelley, doesn't having a simple uniform make life so much easier? I wear a variation of skinny bottoms (jeans/leggings), drapey top and cardigan pretty much all the time. Yeah, it's true, EF seems to bring out some rather strong opinions. Funny since it is just clothes...
