Is buying something at a Christmas market the same
as eating seafood by the seaside?

I don't think so, but I don't celebrate Christmas and I may be missing something!

ExactingL - no, I think buying in a Christmas market setting (so festive!) is analogous to eating seafood by the seashore (so festive!). Most of the seafood eaten by the seashore is not likely caught fresh at that location (shrimp?).

FrugalS - perhaps not, but there does seem to be something about the setting...
